Suraksha journey started a few years ago. The genesis is based on the founder Prasad Jaladi’s experiences as a volunteer from childhood and being social entrepreneur since college days. He worked in multiple industries and has a grasp on the technologies, industries, economies and wide disparities around the globe. Prasad always think that he is the part of community and envisions thriving together. This attitude made him to put people first than his personal benefits and profits that he would get if he compromise his principles while working in different industries. This experience gave him opportunities to do things differently as he always say, I am a different kind of social entrepreneur.
Prasad believes that we are part of the nature. He always discussed with his colleagues about the mindfulness on the impacts of industry, irresponsible pollution generation and wellness of people and animals. His understanding of green chemistry to green technologies gave him clear idea on the pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, depletion of natural resources and it’s repercussions on future generations.
Prasad decided to challenge himself again to take a bold approach as a social entrepreneur to do things differently again. His idea is to call upon individuals to support his mission Suraksha for mentoring, offering support with professional training programs and technology commercialization. Through Suraksha he wanted to recruit selfless experts to work together as volunteers and advisors along with him. Suraksha started collecting small donations to fulfil the mission and operating in the lean model without compromising the quality of services.
Suraksha is able to quickly partner with international organizations in support to its mission and started its journey of walking the talk. To keep our promise from the day one, we have not printed a paper, brochures, T-shirts, caps or any promotional material for marketing that is not good for the environment. We are working on piloting a few projects as our part to protecting the environment and the communities, creating infrastructure and employment opportunities. Suraksha is aspiring to be a public benefit corporation in the near future.
Suraksha is on a lookout for likeminded people and organizations to supportng our activities with volunteering and donations until we self-sustain. We promise you that we will spend each penny collected responsibly and have plans to publish donar info, amount and where the money was spent to keep ourselves accountable for the generous contributions.
